By splitting air across two identical heat exchangers inside one housing, Combi units deliver large-capacity energy recovery without sacrificing performance - ideal for demanding commercial and industrial AHUs.

Principle of operations
In the Combi design, the air streams are divided evenly between two parallel counter-flow heat exchangers. Each heat exchanger independently facilitates heat transfer between supply and exhaust air streams moving in opposite directions. The integration of a common plenum ensures balanced airflow distribution, maintaining high thermal recovery while keeping airflows separated to prevent cross-contamination.

  • Combi HU-EX6: polystyrene plenums (lightweight, insulated)
  • Combi HC-EX6: aluminum plenums (higher mechanical strength)
Casing materials
  • Aluzinc steel - economical and corrosion-resistant for long-lasting performance.
  • Aluminum - lightweight, corrosion-resistant; good for humid sites.
  • Epoxy-coated - for chemically active or coastal areas.
  • Stainless steel (AISI 304/316) - for aggressive/hygienic sites

  • Dimensions A and B are fixed. Dimension C is the width of the heat exchanger and can be varied.
  • Each heat exchanger model can be manufactured with a depth (dimension C) ranging from 100 mm to 600 mm per unit.
  • Heat exchangers with a width of 600 mm and above are supplied as two or more units.
